A campus that speaks two languages.
Life at UNIABIDJAN happens in French and English, across a young campus in Cocody and the Abidjan that surrounds it.
Bilingual by design
One day, two languages.
En franรงais
Your seminar on West-African politics. The lecture youโll cite next week. Lunch, argued out with friends.
In English
Your coding lab. The debate-club final. The paper youโll publish and present.
You wonโt take a language course. Youโll live in two.
Ninety seconds on campus
A short film of everyday life on our Abidjan campus.
Living & dining
Where youโll eat, where youโll live.
The food
Attiรฉkรฉ, garba and alloco from the campus kitchen, next to international plates.
Where youโll study
Cafรฉs and quiet corners across the Cocody campus, open late into the evening.
Where youโll live
Weโre new, and honest about it. Residence options are growing, and many students commute from across Abidjan.
INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS
Arriving from outside Cรดte dโIvoire.
Before you arrive
We do not provide housing. Student Services helps you find somewhere secure near campus, and explains the neighbourhoods and transport.
Your first week
An orientation programme for new international students, and help with the administrative and practical side of settling into Abidjan.
Through your first term
Language practice in both working languages, intercultural exchanges, cultural celebrations, and a network of other international students.
Beyond campus
Your campus opens onto Abidjan.
Class ends and the city begins. Your campus doesnโt stop at the gate.

Cocody
The university quarter: galleries, cafรฉs and quiet streets.

Le Plateau
The skyline and the working pulse of the city.

Marchรฉ de Cocody
Fabric, food and the everyday city, up close.

Live music
Coupรฉ-dรฉcalรฉ and zouglou, most nights of the week.

The รbriรฉ Lagoon
Ferries, sunsets and the water Abidjan is built around.

Treichville
Markets, live music and Abidjan after dark.
AFTER GRADUATION
The people you meet here outlast the degree. Friendships and working contacts start in seminars, in student organisations, on community projects and at professional events, and the relationship is meant to continue after you graduate: as alumni, as mentors to the students who come after you, and as ambassadors for the university in the city you work in.
Come see it for yourself.
